DESCRIPTION:Date: October 9\, 2026\, at 8:00 pm \nDoors: 6:30 pm \n \nIMPORTANT:\nTickets are available exclusively online. \nBIO \nTito Nieves\, born Humberto Nieves on June 4\, 1958\, in Río Piedras\, Puerto Rico\, is known as the “Pavarotti of Salsa” for his clear and powerful voice. Moving to New York City as a child\, he grew up in a family of musicians & began his professional career in 1975 with Orquesta Cimarrón. He later worked with Héctor Lavoe\, debuted with Johnny Ortiz’s Taibori in 1978\, and co-founded Conjunto Clásico\, recording eight albums with the group before launching his solo career. His solo debut Classic (1988) went gold\, followed by Yo Quiero Cantar (1989)\, which also went gold and featured the groundbreaking English-language salsa hit “I’ll Always Love You.” His 1990 album Déjame Vivir achieved platinum status\, and I Like It Like That (1997)\, an all-English salsa album\, brought mainstream exposure\, including a performance with Stevie Wonder at the Alma Awards. Tito’s later albums\, including Dale Cara a la Vida (1998) and Clase Aparte (1999)\, showcase his blend of salsa\, pop\, and R&B influences.

DESCRIPTION:► DATE:  Saturday\, November 7th\, 2026  TIME:  10:00 a.m. Prejudge \n► DATE:  Saturday\, November 7th\, 2026  TIME:  4:00 p.m. Finals \nTicketing link prejudge \n \nTicketing link finals \n \nRegister to compete in the NPC Midwest Gladiator by visiting the NPC Illinois website. \nhttps://www.npcillinoisbodybuilding.com/npc-midwest-gladiator \nEligibility: Each competitor must be registered with the NPC and must present a current NPC membership card\, current NPC membership payment receipt or purchase an NPC card at this competition. \nCompetitor’s competing in the Master’s Divisions must have reached their 35th/40th/50th/60th or 70th birthday by date of show and must provide proof of age with a birth certificate\, driver’s license or state ID. Those competing in the Teen Men category must have reached their 18th birthday\, but not their 20th birthday by date of show. Those competing in the Junior Men category must be 18 years old and no older than 23 on the day of the contest. To compete in the Novice Men & Women categories\, athletes cannot have won their class at a previous NPC contest. NPC athletes competing the Men’s Classic Physique category must meet the NPC specific height and weight requirements. Each entry is $135.00. Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.  All entries must be submitted online by Wednesday\, Nov. 4\, 9 PM CST\, or a late fee of $100.00 will be charged when registering at check-in. \nRules and Regulations:Athletes who compete in pre-judging must participate in evening show. Solid color posing suits for Men’s Bodybuilding and Men’s Classic Physique only. No T-back suits permitted. No jewelry is permitted at prejudging for Men’s Bodybuilding and Men’s Classic Physique (except wedding rings). Athletes must always exhibit good sportsmanship. Only competitors and officials are allowed backstage or in the pump-up room. Current NPC rules apply. No Hot Stuff or Analgesic sprays are allowed (no exceptions). No bottled tanning lotion allowed in building. Please have your tanning preparation done before you arrive. You will be disqualified for putting tanning color on in the building. \nNo entries are allowed or accepted the day of the show. Last chance to register is the day before the show and in person during Check-in at USA Gym\, 7620 West 100th Place\, Bridgeview\, Illinois\, 60455. Check-in on Friday\, Nov. 6\, begins at 11 AM and ends at 5 PM CST. \nThis is the place in the Midwest for aspiring athletes to compete and qualify to turn pro!
