CELEBRATING ARI BROWN: Free concert Tuesday Sept 1st at the Gateway Lounge at Copernicus Center.

This event will feature Ari Brown joined by longtime collaborators whose collective artistry has helped shape his unmistakable sound: pianist Kirk Brown, bassist Yosef Ben Israel, drummer Avreeayl Ra, and percussionist Dr. Cuz. Together, these musicians represent decades of shared musical experience, performing repertoire drawn from Ari Brown’s recordings, original compositions, and spontaneous improvisations that celebrate the creative freedom at the heart of Chicago jazz. Brief reflections from colleagues and friends will further illuminate Brown’s remarkable artistic journey and enduring influence.
