Chicago is getting ready for an afternoon and evening filled with music, dancing, food, and culture! On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the Dominican Cultural Street Celebration — El Son de Antonio Keka will bring the vibrant sounds and traditions of the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean to the Copernicus Center Parking Lot, 5216 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60630.

Presented by Next Chapter Cultural Foundation and the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, this special celebration honors Hispanic Heritage Month and showcases the cultural connections between the Dominican and Cuban communities.

Guests can experience a traditional Dominican-Cuban Son street celebration featuring an exciting mix of live son and salsa, merengue, bachata, dancing, cultural activities, and Dominican and Latin food.

The celebration will feature El Son de Antonio Keka, along with performances by Trabuco Salsa Band and additional musicians and entertainers. Chicago DJs will keep the party moving throughout the event, including DJ Mambo, DJ Ivan, DJ Toka Malo, DJ O-Zone, DJ Guate, and DJ Cuco.
